Description
The payroll specialist will perform daily operational tasks and maintenance of payroll processing and time reporting systems across multiple client environments.
Duties: • Maintain system data files/tables, code lists and employee security access to processing and reporting capabilities of payroll-related systems. • Prepare payroll files for export or import as required, insuring proper checks of data integrity. • Process/verify changes and additions into payroll system (i.e. retirement, garnishments, withholding, benefits, taxes, etc.). • Assist in reviewing and maintaining payroll processing checklists as requested. • Assist in reviewing, balancing and reconciling payroll data as requested. • Provide support for all payroll partners taking action when necessary to resolve issues. • Provides support for system upgrades and implementations as requested. • Respect and maintain the complete confidentiality of all payroll information at all times, and provides payroll-related information to other employees or 3rd parties only with express written or electronic approval by the appropriate parties.
Required skills: High School diploma or equivalent Strong computer skills (Excel, Access) Strong analytical and critical thinking Detailed oriented
Preferred skills: 3 years of functional and technical system administration experience Integrated HR/PR systems experience CPP certification
