Business SegmentCable EntertainmentResponsibilitiesResponsibilities: The Manager, Communications will generate maximum, positive publicity for Bravo programming in appropriate press. This position will report to the VP, Communications. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: • Act as media strategist, campaign planner and spokesperson for assigned shows • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications campaign to support assigned series and specials. This will include on and off channel activities as well as online and marketing components - must deliver measurable results. • Crossover multi-promotional platforms and create synergistic opportunities through marketing and publicity • Develop positive relationships with the talent, producers, PR agencies and representatives, agents, managers, production staffs, media and programming executives in order to ensure maximum positive press coverage • Coordinate print interviews, on-set visits, photo shoots, and EPKs • Generate all press materials including ratings and programming releases, bios, captions, feature stories, talking points, story synopsis, pitch letters and correspondence • Pitch stories to trade and consumer press to support those releases • Service daily media requests and act as network source of information on programs • Promote, create and implement special promotional activities including publicity parties, press conferences and screenings • Develop soft marketing events – “stunts” that help generate buzz • Track budgets for different shows Work closely with Bravo team to present the network and programming in the most favorable light • Develop, plan and execute select internal events (town halls, holiday parties, celebrations)Qualifications/RequirementsBasic Qualifications: Must have minimum 3 years of experience in television publicity Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field Eligibility Requirements: • Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV through nbcunicareers.com to be considered • Must be willing to work at the NY NY location. • Must be willing to take drug test and submit to a background investigation. • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. • Must be 18 years or older.Desired Characteristics• Extensive experience pitching, booking and covering national and local media interviews necessary • Ability to juggle several series in various stages of development, effective multi-tasker • Critical thinking – must have the ability to identify critical content and or talent issues and elevate to direct reports in a timely manner. • Ability to develop interesting and unusual creative to help set Bravo apart in the press • Strong contacts and experience in marketing for cross-over opportunities with advertisers and clients • Solid written and verbal communications skills required • Superior organization and creative skills • Strong relationships with the media • Team player, collaborative and detail oriented • Ability and proven track record to work with high profile talent, managers, producers and executives. • Self starter, proactive, ability to think big and innovate • Some travel and weekend work required.
